2. National Poison Prevention Week
You have the entire month to make your clients aware of household items and foods that can be toxic for their pets, but you can also create posts for the most common toxins that affect your patients with warnings on what to do if their pet ingests these items. You can never do too much to protect your patients.
3. National Pig Day
On March 1 in the United States, International Pig Day is an event that honors the pig. The holiday is most often observed in the Midwest of the United States. For the fantastic veterinarians that care for pigs, this is your day to showcase patients that put a smile on your face!
4. National Peanut Butter Lover’s Day
Humans and dogs alike love peanut butter, and this is the perfect day to celebrate a treat that we all love. Ask for photos of patients indulging in (pet-safe) peanut butter. This is also an excellent chance to tie in Pet Poison Prevention Month, make your clients aware of xylitol poisoning, and ensure their peanut butter is pet-safe.
5. If Pets Had Thumbs Day
On March 3, National If Pets Had Thumbs Day, we get to daydream what life would be like if our pets had a thumb. Would they put it to good use or for evil? Would they text message us? Do more around the house? Give more high fives? Get creative!
6. K-9 Veterans Day
On March 13, we honor the canine members of the police force and military. A military war dog, police dog, or military working dog is a canine trained to defend people in hazardous circumstances.

8. World Sleep Day
Cats sleep 12-16 hours per day, and dogs sleep 12-14 hours per day. Your clients may not know that, and it’s the perfect day to let people know that all of the sleep is very normal. Ask your social media fans how many hours per day their pets sleep.
9. Spring Equinox (Northern Hemisphere)
It’s the first day of Spring! Pet owners should know about parasite prevention, ideas for fun walks in your area for their pet, and the promise of (hopefully warmer weather.
10. International Day of Happiness
Animals make our life better, and today is the perfect day for you to ask your followers about the happiness their pet brings to their life. This is also a great time to share stories of how your team members have gone above and beyond or how a particular client or patient brought cheer to your team.
11. National Puppy Day
Each year on March 23rd, National Puppy Day honors the unswerving devotion and affection puppies offer to our existence. 12. Earth Hour Day
The World Wide Fund for Nature organizes World Earth Hour.
