The saying goes, “New year, new you” – but we’re here to talk about your website and marketing plans for this year. January is a time to reflect on the previous year while setting new goals for the new one. Whether or not you make resolutions for yourself, it’s a good time to assess your business goals for the year and what you can do to reach them. We’re not just talking to the hospital owner – we’re talking to the entire team. How are we going to grow your business together this year?
If you’re a WhiskerCloud client, you already have an excellent website. (If you’re not, click here!) However, it’s fun to change things up now and then and make sure everything is up-to-date. We’ve created some resolutions for your website and marketing this year, and best of all, we’re here to help with all of it.
1. Refresh Team Photos
Your team page is where clients and potential clients will go to learn more about your hospital, who you are, and what your mission is. What better way to start the new year than with a staff photoshoot? You’ve been talking about taking updated photos or using a cohesive background for pictures to make your team page pop, so now is the time to do it. Schedule a day (or two or three) for your team to take new photos. Have everyone stand in front of your hospital’s sign, holding their pets, or even showcasing their specialty within the clinic. Whatever theme you decide to go with, new photos will make your team, and your website feel and look their best!
Pro tip: You don’t need a professional photographer for this. Use one of the latest smartphones and send us the originals, we’ll photoshop and edit the photos to make them look like you spent thousands of dollars.
2. Get Your Information Current!
When was the last time you updated your services page? Or your resources page? Is there any outdated information still living on your website? Have you introduced some new services to the clinic? The beginning of the year is a great time to take an inventory of the content on your website. Where can you trim down the fluff? Make sure everything on your site is current, up-to-date, and to the point.
Pro tip: Our team is here to give you ideas for making your website more engaging. Let’s work together to get your information cleaned up and ready for the new year!
3. Make Your Patients the Stars
What would your practice be without all of your adorable patients? Show them off on your website! Everyone loves to see photos of their own pets, so highlighting them on your website will make people excited to visit your website to see if their photo has been added and then share it with other people. WhiskerCloud can help you create a custom Patient Gallery page to showcase your wonderful clients.

4. Freshen Up Your Social Media Pages
New year, new look and feel on social media. Let our team design new profile and header images for your social media pages. Let’s also take the time to go through your “About” section to make sure everything is up-to-date on all social media and online listing pages. Contact information, appointment links, and hours can change, and it’s important to make sure it’s always accurate for your current and potential clients.
5. Focus On Conversion!
This year, let’s make sure we’re promoting everything you offer on your website. We don’t want people to come to your website and just read; we want them to convert. Offering a special? A new treatment plan? Let’s create custom landing pages that will allow people to get information and request an appointment while on the page. Plus, if you’re running any ads, we can use these landing pages to increase conversion!
Do you have other fantastic ideas for your website? Our list doesn’t have to stop here! Send us your wildest ideas and most significant visions for your website, and our team will make them happy. Cheers to the new year! We’re excited to help you take things to the next level this year. Our client success team has your back.
